It’s been hell on earth for the numerous customers of the Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) as it’s been impossible for them to transact online business in the past 72 hours.
Despite complaints from the affected customers, there has not been any official explanation for the seemingly unending service disruption.
The frustrated customers have however, in the last hours, been registering their displeasure on social media, against what some of them said has as become a tradition.
Registering his frustration over the development, an X user, Moe, with the account handle @mochievous said the reason GTB has decided not to say anything about this service disruption for days is that they know there would be no consequences. Their customers will still stay. And I hope they are proven wrong this time.
As for me, I won’t just stop using the account, I would go physically to the bank and ask for my account to be closed down.
Another customer,@AbimnolaLameed while lamenting the situation said:
Help us beg @gtbank . I’ve actually hardly enjoy a straight year without complaining. If there are maintenance issues. Customers should be addressed. Since yesterday, things haven’t been right. I got to their dugbe office today and saw dug cables. E she normal o! #gtb

A first time customer sent 6 digit figures to me since yesterday for fabrics from GTb account and I am yet to receive.
Now customer is scare thinking otherwise , and today is weekend and I can’t even send fabrics out without seeing money.

@duchessmabbboud: I think it’s time for GTB to agree that the entire app redesign was absolutely needless and useless.
From day 1, e no carry sense come.
