The Commissioner for The Environment in Ogun State, Mr…… has pleaded with the people of the state to trust and cooperate with government, to enable it deliver on its mandate.
In an interview with thecolumNG the Commissioner said he does not recognize obstacles as setbacks that would prevent government from making giant strands.
According to him, government is in place, basically, to confront and solve problems. He stated that there are obstacles in every endeavors of life, what is important, he offered , is for government to strategize and overcome the obstacles. He said, this is one reason one must be armed with the technical know how of his office and also have competent hands, to work with.
He also pointed out that, part of the reason for competent hands in government us to fashion out strategies on how to make the money to govern with.
The Commissioner registered that government does not have money starched somewhere for use at it’s convenience, adding however, that It’s the government itself that must think out how to make the money it will work with.
The greatest challenge, the commissioner also said, is how to carry the people along and be in unity with government to enable it deliver.
To this end, he pleaded with the people to ensure they are on the same page with government at all times and be good followers. He said they should be genuine followers with utmost trust in the government rather than being followers out of fear or intimidation.
He said the people should be trusting enough to go all the way with the government and identify with it , by believing in it’s policies and see to it that government laws and Instructions are obeyed for the benefit of all.
