The federal lawmaker representing Ilaje Ese-Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo state, Hon. Donald Kimikanboh Ojogo has survived spinal injury which almost rendered him incapacitated.
In a statement issued by the lawmaker , he explained how he battled life-threatening ailment for over five months.
He added that the last five months have been most challenging for him.
Ojogo stressed, “I battled with a life-threatening health condition that led to series of medicare in Nigeria and finally culminating in a successful surgery abroad.
“No doubt, the health challenge kept me out of public activities even as my Legislative assignments to represent the good people of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency were inadvertently affected.
“But the storm is no more, the battle is over. I am back on my feet, hale and hearty.”
It was gathered that Ojogo battled with Spinal chord Injury and was being treated in Nigeria before he was advised to travel abroad for proper medical attention which led to surgery.
The source said, “ Ojogo survived spinal chord injury after a successful surgery abroad. He is just lucky that he is still able to walk. Not everyone with such ailment survives it. If not, he would have been paralyzed and be moving on wheelchair. I am happy for him.”
