Just In: President Tinubu returns to Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after his official trip to Paris and a private visit to London.

 

The president who returned to the country via Mohammed Murtala International Airport, Lagos, landed at about quarter to five, Tuesday evening.

He was received with pomp and pride by loyalists at the presidential wing of the airport.

 

President Tinubu departed Nigeria Tuesday 20th of June, for France where he participated in the 2-day Paris summit for new global financial pact.

 

After the summit, the president proceeded to London on a private visit.

 

The trip to France was the first made by the president since his inauguration.

 

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu, on Monday night, met with his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, in London, United Kingdom.

Tinubu and Buhari were seen shaking hands in a photo released on social media today

 

The presidency said on Saturday that the president was travelling to the UK from France, where he had been attending a summit convened by French President Emmanuel Macron on “A New Global Financing Pact.”

 

The reason for the meeting is not yet known as of the time of filling this report.
