The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has pledged to take the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda to the next level as part of his second-term agenda.
The governor disclosed this during his inaugural speech after taking his oath of office alongside his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, at the inauguration ceremony held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu, who was sworn in for second term in office disclosed the difficuties he faced during the election and has vowed to intensify focus on gender equality, social inclusion and youth would take his T.H.E.M.E.S agenda to the next level.
According to him T. H. E. M.E.S stands for Transportation and Traffic Management; Health and Environment; Education and Technology; Making Lagos State a 21st Century Megacity, Entertainment and Tourism; and Security and Governance.
“I am pleased to announce that we are taking our THEMES governing agenda to the next level,” the governor said, adding that his administration had done well fulfilling it’s promises to the people of Lagos.
“T.H.E.M.E.S, as you already know, stands for Transportation and Traffic Management; Health and Environment; Education and Technology; Making Lagos State a 21st Century Megacity, Entertainment and Tourism; and Security and Governance.
“Henceforth, it will be known as ‘T.H.E.M.E.S+’, the ‘plus’ representing the incorporation of an intensified focus, in these next four years, on social inclusion, gender equality and youth,” Sanwo-Olu said.
Adding that his ” No One Will Be left Behind” guiding principle to enhance and reinforce T.H.E.M.E.S.
