Transfer: Man Utd Activates Tielemans Move From Aston Villa
Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Reports say Tielemans’ Villa contract contains a release clause, which makes negotiations easier, and that a deal is close.
The 29-year-old has been on United’s radar for considerable time and has a wealth of Premier League experience, which the club feel is a significant positive.
Tielemans was a key figure in Belgium’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals but was forced to pull out of the 2-1 defeat by Spain after suffering an injury in the warm-up.
United have prioritised strengthening their midfield positions this summer, but have so far met with frustration after failing to sign first choice Elliot Anderson, who is joining Manchester City, and Mateus Fernandes, who opted to move to Tottenham Hotspur from West Ham.
The Old Trafford outfit did agree a £35m deal with Serie A club Atalanta for Brazil World Cup star Ederson but that deal has been scrapped for now.
Chelsea’s Andrey Santos is understood to have had his medical before a £48m switch and further signings are anticipated.
United’s only experienced orthodox central midfielder is Kobbie Mainoo, who is yet to feature in England’s World Cup campaign.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, is set to leave the role in the coming days report claims.
This follows his failed plot to sell a stake in the World Cup to private investors.
Infantino could have profited from the “FIFA Forward Enterprise” scheme, which was roundly opposed by other governing bodies.
According to a UK Times report,
the 56-year-old is desperate to continue in the role, support for him is however ebbing away.
The report quoted a source as claiming Infantino is a “dead duck”, with his opponents already lining up candidates as his successor.
The English FA and UEFA, European football’s governing body, also made it clear that they had lost confidence in Infantino.
According to French journalist Sebastien Vidal, Zirkzee has agreed to join Juventus, and Juventus and Manchester United have begun negotiations.
Vidal stated that discussions between the Italian club and Manchester United have already begun at this stage, and a loan with a buy-out option may be explored.
According to transfer reporter Romano, Paris Saint-Germain has made an offer to Parma for Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and is currently leading Juventus in the competition.
Romano stated that Paris Saint-Germain has submitted an offer totaling 33 million euros to Parma for Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
Currently, Paris Saint-Germain is ahead of Juventus because a formal offer has been submitted, and Parma is also ready to proceed with the deal.
In addition, Paris Saint-Germain has presented their plans to Zion Suzuki, a plan based on Chevalier’s future. The deal is in progress.
