APC Oshodi LGA Meeting: State Rep Rallies Members for LG Election, Chairman Emphasizes Unity

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area meeting took place at Owoseni Primary School, which was packed with members from different wards of the local government, gathering to strategize and gear up for the upcoming local government elections.

Presiding over the meeting, the party chairman, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, urged members to remain committed and steadfast while working in harmony for the success of the party. He emphasized that, regardless of group affiliations, all members are working towards the same goal.

He appreciated the council chairman, Otunba Oloyede, LAHA, Otunba Ogundipe, honourable Commissioner, Hon. MAF, the MHR, Dr. Bashir and Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) for their commitment and upliftment of the party in the local government.

The State Auditor of the party, Pastor Doyin Gbekuda, delivered a goodwill message from the State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.

The apex leader, Prince S. O. Aina, also implored members to see themselves as one and to downplay the issue of party caucuses.

He further appealed to aggrieved members to rejoin the fold, set aside their differences, and work together for the party’s success.

The major points of the message included:

1. Online Party Registration: The online registration for party members will commence soon. Members are urged to register once the exercise begins.
2. Election Guidelines: The guidelines for the forthcoming local government elections have not yet been released by the state arm of the party.
3. Primary Elections: There will be a primary election to ensure openness and transparency in the selection process.
4. Non-Refundable Form Fee: Once a nomination form is purchased, the payment is non-refundable.
5. No Automatic Compensation: Purchasing a form and contesting does not guarantee compensation with another position if the aspirant does not win.
6. PVC Registration: Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) registration will commence soon. Members are encouraged to update their voter cards or replace them if lost.
