Fire takes gut warehouse in Lagos

Fire broke out at the Flux Logistics a popular warehouse in Lagos State’s Ikeja District.

 

Although, there were no reported casualties, report gathered that , the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were on hand to put out the fire at the company’s warehouse, which was situated on Sapara Street, off Oba Akran Avenue, in Ikeja.

 

According to Adeseye Margaret the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the fire began on Sunday( today) morning at 8:58am The fire was contained by Lagos State Fire service Crews from Ikeja, Alausa, and Bolade.

 

Margaret also guaranteed that everything was done to prevent the fire from spreading outside of the store. The fire incident was also verified by the National Emergency Management Agency via its Lagos Territorial Office.

 

Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, the state coordinator for NEMA Territorial Office, revealed that the fire completely destroyed the business, which contained imported beverages and a small amount of foreign goods.

 

According to reports, the staff members who were on shift could have stopped the fire from spreading from the start, but the owners’ fear kept them from breaking into the warehouse.

 

“Until the owners showed up and told them to smash the doors was the only time they attempted to, but things had gotten out of control.”

 

He claimed the Berger Paints Fire Service put forth a courageous effort to stop the fire from expanding to the SKG Pharmaceutical Company.
